RETURNS, EXCHANGES & WARRANTY POLICY
At Lighting Paradise, customer satisfaction is important to us. We want you to be confident in your purchase and have established this policy to clearly explain our procedures for returns, exchanges, damaged or defective products, and warranty claims.
Customers who purchase in-store or place orders by phone are responsible for reviewing their invoice for accuracy at the time of purchase or within 24 hours.
If your product is damaged, defective, or not functioning properly, please refer to the Damaged, Defective & Warranty Claims section below.
1. RETURNS & EXCHANGES
7-Day Return Period
Eligible merchandise may be returned within 7 days of the purchase date shown on the invoice.
To begin a return, please contact or visit the Lighting Paradise branch where the item was purchased and present your original invoice.
Items presented after the 7-day return period will not normally be eligible for return, exchange, or store credit unless covered by an applicable product warranty.
Return Requirements
To qualify for a return or exchange, merchandise must:
Be unused and uninstalled.
Be in resalable condition.
Include all original parts, accessories, and components.
Be returned in its original box with sufficient packaging materials.
Be accompanied by the original Lighting Paradise invoice.
All returned merchandise is subject to inspection and approval by Lighting Paradise.
Restocking Fee & Store Credit
Approved returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
The remaining value will be issued as a store credit/credit note that may be applied toward other merchandise at Lighting Paradise.
Cash refunds are not provided. Where a monetary refund is specifically approved by Management, the method of refund will be determined by Lighting Paradise.
2. ITEMS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN, CREDIT OR EXCHANGE
Unless an item is confirmed to have a defect covered by an applicable warranty, the following are considered final sale and are not eligible for standard return, credit, or exchange:
Clearance, inventory sale, special-sale, and display items.
Special-order or specially purchased items.
Items that have been assembled, installed, modified, or used.
Fixtures with wires that have been cut, clipped, shortened, or otherwise altered.
Items that are damaged or otherwise not in resalable condition.
Items without the original Lighting Paradise invoice.
Items without their original box, components, accessories, or sufficient packaging.
Light bulbs, replacement parts, and shades.
Shipping, delivery, and handling charges.
Large-quantity purchases, including orders containing 6 or more units of the same item, or other orders designated as bulk or special-quantity purchases.
For large-quantity purchases, we strongly recommend purchasing one sample first to ensure that the product meets your requirements before placing the full order.
3. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE & WARRANTY CLAIMS
Products that are damaged, defective, or experience a covered failure are handled separately from standard returns.
A product being installed or outside the standard 7-day return period does not automatically exclude it from consideration where a valid warranty applies.
Damaged Products
Customers should carefully inspect merchandise as soon as it is received or collected.
Visible damage, missing components, or other concerns should be reported to Lighting Paradise as soon as possible.
Customers may be required to provide:
The original invoice or other acceptable proof of purchase.
Photographs or videos showing the problem.
Product packaging, where applicable.
Any additional information reasonably required to assess the claim.
Lighting Paradise reserves the right to inspect the product before determining the appropriate resolution.
Damage occurring during transportation arranged independently by the customer may not be covered.
4. LIGHTING FIXTURE WARRANTY COVERAGE
The applicable warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects or component failures that affect the normal operation of the lighting fixture during its warranty period.
Where a fixture stops working or no longer performs as it did at the time of purchase, the product will first be assessed to determine the cause of the problem and whether the issue is covered by warranty.
The length and specific terms of the warranty may vary depending on the product or manufacturer.
Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims.
LED COMPONENTS, DRIVERS & LIGHT MODULES
Many modern lighting fixtures contain integrated LED components that are designed to be serviced without replacing the complete fixture.
Where an integrated LED fixture experiences a covered failure, Lighting Paradise may repair or replace the affected:
LED light module.
LED strip or LED component.
Driver or power supply.
Controller or other serviceable electronic component.
Other replaceable internal component responsible for the failure.
The fixture may therefore be repaired by replacing the defective component rather than replacing the complete light.
REPAIR BEFORE REPLACEMENT
A warranty claim does not automatically entitle the customer to a new fixture.
Where the problem can reasonably be corrected through repair or replacement of a defective component, repair will be the first course of action.
If the repair or component replacement successfully restores the fixture to proper working condition, the warranty claim will be considered resolved.
The replacement of an LED module, driver, or other internal component under warranty is considered a valid warranty repair and does not, by itself, require replacement of the complete fixture.
WHEN A COMPLETE FIXTURE WILL BE REPLACED
A complete fixture may be replaced where:
The product is confirmed to have a defect covered by the applicable warranty; and
Repair or replacement of the defective component does not satisfactorily resolve the problem; or
Lighting Paradise determines that the fixture cannot reasonably be repaired.
If replacement is approved but the original model is no longer available, Lighting Paradise may provide a suitable alternative of comparable type and value, subject to current availability.
The replacement product does not have to be the identical model where that model has been discontinued, sold out, or is otherwise unavailable.
5. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Unless otherwise stated under a specific manufacturer's warranty, warranty coverage does not apply to failures or damage resulting from:
Improper installation or wiring.
Installation contrary to the product's instructions or intended application.
Incorrect voltage or electrical connection.
Electrical surges, voltage fluctuations, or other external electrical conditions.
Misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper handling.
Accidental or physical damage.
Broken glass, crystals, shades, or other damage occurring after purchase unless confirmed as a manufacturing defect.
Exposure to water, moisture, weather, or outdoor conditions where the product is not appropriately rated.
Unauthorized modification, alteration, disassembly, or repair.
Damage caused by incompatible bulbs, dimmers, switches, controllers, or other equipment.
Normal wear and tear.
Cosmetic deterioration that does not affect the normal operation of the product.
Lighting Paradise reserves the right to inspect and test any product submitted under warranty before determining whether the issue qualifies for repair, component replacement, complete fixture replacement, or another applicable remedy.
6. IMPORTANT WARRANTY & RETURN INFORMATION
Please keep your Lighting Paradise invoice for your records, as proof of purchase may be required for returns, exchanges, and warranty claims.
The 7-day return period applies to standard returns or exchanges where a customer changes their mind or the product is unsuitable for their needs.
The product warranty period is separate from the 7-day return period and applies specifically to qualifying defects or failures.
Where a warranty claim is approved, Lighting Paradise will determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the defect, condition of the product, availability of replacement components, and ability to satisfactorily repair the fixture.
Our goal is to resolve legitimate product issues as efficiently and fairly as possible while ensuring that products are properly assessed before repair or replacement.
